INTERNATIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Sharon
is a member of the African Palliative Care Association and has worked with the
Kenya Hospice and Palliative Care Association and the Kenyatta National Hospital
Palliative Care Unit to bridge an association with the US group National Children’s
Cancer Society in order to provide free medicines to children with cancer at Kenyatta
National Hospital. Sharon has also worked with Hope for Cancer Kids a Parent sponsored
support group for parents of children with cancer, providing educational material
and emotional support on her visits. She is working towards establishing a professional
graduate social work student internship program between the US and Kenyatta National
Hospital. |
